The Latest Top 10 Power Rankings in the NBA…

“Now that teams are six or seven games into their season, we can start to get a grasp of their identities. And this season, more than in recent years, we seem to have more teams with very distinct ways of playing”, says Schuhmann.

Here are my own version of the latest power rankings in the NBA.

Starting with the:

powerrankings_pho_35px PHOENIX SUNS ( 7-1 record) – Beating the Boston Celtics catapulted the suns to the top spot. Most impressive about their start is that five of their seven games have been on the road.

powerrankings_bos_35px Boston Celtics ( 7-1 record) – Before the home court loss to the suns, the Boston Celtics was crushing all of their opponents. They are undoubtedly the team to beat in the East.

powerrankings_lal_35px Lakers ( 6-1 record) – With Kobe Bryant leading the league in scoring again, L.A. is surviving without their 2 key players( Bynum and Gasul).

powerrankings_mia_35px (1) Miami (5-1 recod) – With their tough defense and wade doing what is expected of him, the Heat will be in good shape this season.

powerrankings_orl_35px Orlando ( 5-2 record) – Without Vinsanity and Lewis? No problem…The magic is executing well with D. Howard and R. Anderson leading the way.

powerrankings_den_35px Denver ( 5-2 record) – Jr. Smith is back after being suspended and is expected to join the team in their next game against Chicago.

powerrankings_atl_35px Hawks ( 5-2 record) – Jamal Crawford averaging 18.1 points off the bench made their offense more potent but they must improve defensively in order to be consistent.

powerrankings_dal_35px Dallas (4-2 record) – Adding one of the leagues great defender (Marion), the Mavs is starting their step to be back in the Finals. With J. Howard back in action their offensive game improve with a Toronto.

powerrankings_hou_35px Rockets ( 4-2 record) – Without TMac and Yao, the rockets is doing great as of late with newly added Ariza performing what is expected out of him.

powerrankings_chi_35px Bulls ( 4- 2 record) – Luol Deng is not only leading the Bulls in scoring and averaging a double-double, but he’s made them a top-ten defensive squad this year.
